Z Height Calibration
Z Height Calibration. The nozzle height calibration calibrates both the z height difference between the two nozzles and the proper height for the nozzles from the bed. My cube measurements at the most favorable points are 19.90 x 19.92 x 10.48.

The x and y axis seem reasonable (off by.5%) and are consistent along the whole cube. Go back to the main menu and select “control” and then “z offset” and enter that number. Prints are undersized in z.
Prints Are Undersized In Z.
The live z will be different every time you change the first layer height. However i measured the z height of the cube and it was 40mm dead on, x 40mm, and y 40mm. Wish i had asked someone.
This Has Now Set My Z Axis Home Position To 0.4Mm Above The Z Axis Stop.
I used the standard setting for pla in matter control and used high quality. The miltiplier calibration cube however is a prusa generated gcode file. If the nozzle is too high, then the value will be too small.
You Need To Calibrate Your Live Z So The Printed First Layer Is The Same Height As The One You Specified In Prusaslicer.
The x and y axis seem reasonable (off by.5%) and are consistent along the whole cube. Simply, rehomed the build plate through the menu, then set the 0.1mm option and tapped the up arrow 4 times to equal the 0.4mm difference (19.6mm cube + 0.4mm offset = 20mm), then i went back one menu option and tapped the z=0 and confirmed it. If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device.
Once You Feel A Slight.
Go back to the main menu and select “control” and then “z offset” and enter that number. One of the last steps of assembling a prusa i3 mk3 3d printer is to manually adjust the z height. Save settings to eeprom m500;
Use Either The Workaround Or The New Motor.
I am trying to dial in my printer, and upon printing 20mm calibration cubes, i am finding my x and y dimensions to be spot on, but the z height of the cube is undersized. Grab a piece of paper and slide it between the nozzle and print bed and start lowering the nozzle until you feel a slight resistance when moving the paper back and forth. (or both) please learn to read before going into tirades.no one is changing the step height.m8084 is z offset.
